General Troubleshooting
Cannot read the answers on the record grid.
Your computer monitor must be set to 256 colors . If it is set to Thousands or Millions, the answers appear black instead of yellow.

Voies and sounds don’t play.
On the PC,you sound card may not be working properly.If some sounds don’t play, make sure you have the latest video and sound carcd drivers. The manufacture’s number may be listed in Windows Troubleshooting
On the Macintosh there may not be enough available memory Disable all Extensions except QuickTime,Sound Manager and you CD-ROM Extension. You can do this from the Extensions into the Extension (disabled) foler.Restart your Macintosh.

Your hear clicking at the beginning and end of voices and sounds.
On the Macintosh,Sound Manager 3.0 may not be installed. To install it,dras Sound Manager from the Radio Active disc onto your System Folder.

QuickTime videos play slow and jerky.
Make sure you have a double-speed CD-ROM.




Getting Started for WindowsTM Users
Before you install Radio Active: The Music Trivia Game Show, TM check the back CD cover to see that your computer meets the system requirements, then follow these instruction:
1. If you have an extemal CD-ROM drive, turn it on.
2. Turn on your computer.
3. If you are not running Windows in 256 colors, You need to change the video driver using Windows Setup. (If you’re unsr\ure how to do this, refer to your Windows manual.) Now restart Windows.
4. Insert the Radio Active disc into your CD-ROM drive.
5. Double click on Main,double click on File Manager and select the CD-ROM drive
6. Double click on SETUP.EXE in the RadActive Directory on the Radio Active disc.
7. Follow the onscreen step-by-step instrucions to install the Radio Active program icon and QuickTime TM 1.1.1 for Windows
8. After installation is complete and you have restared Windows,double click on the program group Radio Active Game on your hard drive,then double click on the Radio Active icon to begin the game.



Starting the Game
Choosing Contestants
After the game’s theme song,16 contestants appear. Select a contestant to represent each player during the game and enter each player’s first name, if a player’s name isn’t recognized,try a different spelling, a nickname or a middle name. The contestants talk if the cursor is placed on them.

One to four play.if you have more than four people,play in teams.
To examine or change any of the game settings, click on the Settings button
Once all players have chosen a contestant,click on the Let’s Play button to start the game.
To skip the theme song and go directly to choosing contestants, press Ctrl-A on the PC or Command-A on the Macintosh.

Playing the First Time
The first time the game is played’Nigel’the announcer’gives detailed instructions as each new par of the game is encountered.

The game is set up to play for as long as you like. To end the game,click on the Quit button on the Control Panel. To play for a certain amount of time or points,see Changing the Game Settings on the next page.
